How can I use my stored cells?
The landscape of Personalized and Regenerative Medicine is evolving and new applications are being investigated. Treatments and studies using Adipose (fat) Derived Adult Stem Cells (ADSCs) are being conducted worldwide. Your physician is best qualified to inform you of current therapies, procedures, and clinical trials using ADSCs. How long can adipose derived Adult Stem Cells be stored?
Current scientific evidence suggests adipose derived Adult Stem Cells can be stored indefinitely. Cells derived from similar sources such as, umbilical cord blood, bone marrow and the reproductive system have been successfully stored and utilized for decades.

Can I donate my cells to another person or donate them to a public bank?
Under current FDA regulations, stem cell specimens prepared for autologous (self) use may not be used by a third party (unless required sample testing is performed). If you wish to donate your cells, please contact American CryoStem for full details.
How will I know that my cells were properly collected?
To verify a successful collection, our laboratory tests your specimen for viability (ensuring live cells were collected) and sterility (free of contaminants). Once verified, processing is then complete. Approximately 2 weeks post processing, both you and your physician will be notified that your specimen has been processed, tested, and cryogenically stored.
How do I request the retrieval/release/shipment of my cells? How long does it take?
American CryoStem requires advance written notice to release your stored cells. This can be done using the form attached to your customer agreement. A minimum of two (2) business days is required from date of request to shipment.
How are my cells transported when I need them?
Your cells are transported from our laboratory to their destination in a portable cryogenic tank to maintain consistent temperature to ensure proper viability.
